Precise’s Innovative Solution Selected as a Finalist in GSA Applied AI Challenge

Precise Software Solutions, Inc.’s patented solution, Counterfeit Drug Detection, was selected as a finalist out of 122 submissions nation-wide in the GSA Applied AI Challenge. Precise’s innovative solution was designed to detect counterfeit drugs as part of the company’s mission to help advance public health and safety. The solution deploys an all-spectrum high-definition camera to capture drug images under different spectrum lights. Precise developed complex machine learning algorithms to analyze drug images and detect image anomalies that indicate a drug as counterfeit or not. The solution is deployed to a Google Tensorflow Process Unit to process the pictures locally. Initial tests have proved that the solution achieves near real-time results and 95% accuracy in detecting counterfeit drugs.

Precise and Sapfonte, Precise’s R&D affiliate, were invited to present the innovation at the GSA Applied AI Industry Day. The recording of the team’s presentation, among those of other finalists, can be found at the GSA Youtube channel.
